Introduction When I was in college this book was
part of a book sale and I bought it for fifty cents.
Back then I was deep into the Prisoner television series and
Squares was part of read while taking a train ride. This is
thoroughly sociological SF, when that was still the Next Wave
(originally published by Ballantine in
1965).The Plot According To Wiki:
It is a sociological story of urban class warfare and political
intrigue, taking place in the fictional South
American capital city of Vados. It explores the idea
of subliminal messages as political tools, and it is
notable for having the structure of [...]

We all have our "go to" character type. Well, almost all of us
;)
For me it seems to usually be a Cleric or a Fighter / Cleric type
multiclass. A Dwarven Fighter / Cleric to be precise.
I like to mix it up in combat AND I like the chance to cast the
occasional spell. I tend to find the lower lever Magic-Users to be
difficult to stay engage with as a player, especially after you
throw your spell or two. M-U / Thief or a Bard type class work for
me too.
So, what class / class combo is your default? Maybe you don't have
a default...

Well, that was a first for me.
All my gaming for the past 30 years has been around a table,
passing books and dice around and quickly and easily explaining
character generation, rules and combat. Minis and counters guided
our encounters and banter was easy and flowing. Not so in the
internet. A slow connection and a dicey computer almost destroyed
any interest I had in gaming over the web.
Let me explain what's happening here. Recently my wife joined the
International Geek Girl Pen Pals Club and met some very nice people

I’ve noticed that there are plenty of feats in
DnD/Pathfinder for specialising in certain weapons, even some that
allow you to access new manoeuvres and tactical options for your
preferred weapon, but very few feats that focus on spells in the
same way. It’s a shame really, so I’ve come up with my
own feat which focuses on a single spell and expands its power and
usefulness.
I call it “Spellcialisation” and I thought I’d
start with every-first-level-mage’s favourite: the magic
missile. Stats are provided with DnD 3/3.5 in mind, but should work
perfectly well with Pathfinder as well.

From the sketchy accounts that still survive, and those that have
